The Order of Walkers make bespoke walking sticks for the discerning wanderer. Each stick is individually serialised and is a tactile object of art as well as a functional walking\hiking stick.

The Order of Walkers is offering this walking stick for sale. The stick, a branch of Malus Domestica, will give its owner many kilometers of pleasure as you wander over hill and dale. 

This stick was procured on 25/9/20 during one of my lockdown walks. Back at the workshop the ends were sealed with pva glue and set aside for curing until 26/3/26 when crafting began. My apple sticks are always crafted to maintain the deep maroon colour and the characteristic knuckles.

This stick is suited to hiking the bush and parklands There are no rules. Strong enough to steady you with a rucksack going up or down. A good partner when fording a creek or river.  An affable companion to have by your door in readiness for a wander.

The completed stick length is 130 cm with the rubber stopper. It has a diameter of 34 mm at the handle and tapers to 20 mm at the tip. It weighs 664 grams. It is suitable as a hand around hiking stick for a person of heights of 160 cm to 210 cm. It was officially commissioned with serial #OOW53 on the 6th of April 2026.

  • 130 to 150 cm (4’4″ to 5’) = 105 cm Stick
  • 150 to 170 cm (5’ to 5’8”) = 115 cm Stick
  • 170 to 190 cm (5’8” to 6’4”) =  125 cm Stick
  • 190 to 210 cm (6’4” to 7′) =  135 cm Stick

Full Provenance Papers will be supplied to the purchaser.

The stick can be personally delivered to the purchaser if we meet within 100km of Metro Melbourne, and I will reimburse the delivery charge in cash or payid. Postage is expensive because of the length of the item.$100. I will do what I can to reduce this cost at the time of purchase. If it is cheaper I will refund the balance via payid.  Due to Customs laws I do not ship outside of Australia.
